Queens are raised in Wisconsin as part of our yearly operation. Our focus continues to be on both nutrition and genetics.
Carniolan traits include:
- Handle colder climates
- More likely to forage on cool, wet days
- Quick to brood up when nectar is available
- Excellent honey producers
- Not as gentle as the Italian.
